Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and phlebotomy.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as meals, ambulation, and hygiene.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure effective patient care and communication.
- Participate in educational programs and workshops to enhance professional growth and development.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of directly related experience preferred.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
This role requires working in a hospital setting, with potential exposure to biohazardous materials and chemicals. PPE will be provided as necessary.
