Job Summary

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse at UNM Hospitals, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective care to critically ill patients, including those requiring hemodialysis and other life-sustaining therapies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
  • Experience in critical care or hemodialysis nursing preferred.
