The Culinary Services Associate II is responsible for performing essential food service tasks during designated shifts in our central kitchen or satellite serving areas.

Key responsibilities include preparing, portioning, distributing, and serving meals for both standard and specialized dietary needs, as well as ensuring the cleanliness of equipment, workspaces, utensils, and cookware.

Additional duties encompass training fellow Culinary Services Associates, adhering to food safety regulations, and following established kitchen protocols.

This role operates under moderate supervision, allowing for some initiative and independent decision-making.


Core Responsibilities:

- Regular attendance is expected, with the possibility of specific shift assignments or rotating schedules, including extended hours or overtime as needed.

- Assist in the preparation and portioning of meals for special dietary requirements in accordance with food service guidelines.

- Prepare and maintain a supply of snacks and supplements.

- Participate in the safe and sanitary distribution of food, adhering to food service policies.

- Assist in serving meals while following established food service procedures.

- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations, including state, federal, and HACCP standards.

- Receive and process deliveries of food and supplies from vendors.

- Complete necessary documentation accurately and promptly.

- Maintain sanitation standards for kitchen, storage areas, and food preparation zones.

- Observe and implement safety protocols.

- Train or assist in training new kitchen staff to ensure a knowledgeable team.

- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include participating in disaster response or continuity of operations initiatives.

2. Familiarity with food storage practices and sanitation standards.
3. Proficiency in operating and sanitizing food service equipment.
4. Capability to prepare and serve meals effectively.
5. Ability to maintain cleanliness in dining, serving, and food preparation areas.
6. Competence in maintaining accurate records.
7. Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
8. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
9. Basic math skills relevant to cooking and preparation.
10. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
