Workday HRIS Manager

Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Workday HRIS Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing, implementing, and maintaining human resources information management systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HRIS implementation and management, with experience in Workday and a proven track record of improving HRIS processes. You will work closely with our HR team to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage the return on technological capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, oversee, and maintain the optimal function of our internal HR information services systems.
- Oversee and maintain internal database files, tables, codes, backup files, integrity, and security.
- Install, implement, modify, and upgrade software and applications to meet changing business and technology needs.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR employees and other internal customers.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and HR staff to identify needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases.
- Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users.
- Program custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Compile or assist with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR staff.
- Serve as lead representative and liaison between HR, BST, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects.
- Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
- Oversee the procurement of appropriate hardware and software to ensure that our organization has high-quality, efficient systems.
- Facilitate migration to a unified HRIS if required.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Understand and use qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
- Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science, or related degree preferred.
- At least five years of HRIS implementation and management or related experience required.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) credential preferred.
- Knowledge of Workday. Experience with an emphasis on Human Capital Management (Workday Reporting experience strongly preferred).
- Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.
- Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
- Extensive experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in database management and security.
- Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests and audits.
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends within Workday.
