Job Summary:

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Service Representative to join our team. As a Sales and Service Representative, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowes associates, customers, and contractors, highlighting competitive advantages and competitor weaknesses.
  • Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits, and gather and document competitor intelligence information.
  • Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales, and ensure promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store.
  • Prepare Annual Growth Plans (AGPs) for assigned stores in the territory that meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Conduct product knowledge (PK) training sessions for current and newly hired Lowes associates, including features, benefits, and selling skills, and may include product demonstrations.
  • Conduct sales training to current and newly hired Lowes associates, and provide promotional display training to Lowes associates.
  • Train store associates on equipment, such as tinting machines, and respond to and resolve product/service/inventory issues at the store level.
  • Assist store associates with tinting/mixing paint as needed, and review all products on shelf to ensure products are fully stocked and properly displayed.
  • Replace defective products, and make sales calls to residential repainters, remodelers, property maintenance managers, and local home builders to increase pro-paint sales.
  • Maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip, and color card stock, and order inventory of collateral to ensure inventory is stocked.
  • Review and manage P&L statements, including expense management, mistint expense tracking, collateral expenses, and T&E.
  • Assist other Sales and Service Representatives as needed, and attend required conference calls, local and non-local trainings, and national sales meetings.
  • Complete required paperwork/reports in a timely manner, including mileage tracking and expense reporting.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business-related field (e.g., sales, business management, marketing) preferred.
  • 1+ year previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or other business-related field.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, with up to 9 Saturdays per year.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
  • Conducting presentations to groups of employees experience preferred.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or merchandising preferred.
  • Ability to work independently preferred.
  • P&L/budget management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
  • May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required.
