The Sanitation Team Member plays a crucial role in delivering value to our customers by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities...
  • Perform cleaning duties throughout the facility, including floors, walls, guard rails, mezzanines, dock fixtures, stairwells, parking areas, and grounds.
  • Assist in addressing all sanitation-related audit discrepancies.
  • Additional tasks may involve painting, snow removal, construction/demolition, installations, stocking supplies, and supporting Maintenance mechanics as needed.
  • Ensure all sanitation equipment is operational to carry out duties efficiently and in alignment with the company's quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring floors are free of debris and tools are in good, clean working condition.
  • Uphold FedEx Supply Chain's commitment to quality and pride in work.
  • Report any equipment or facility misuse to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Participate in safety and emergency tasks as required for the safe operation of the facility.
  • Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of all warehouse activity records.
  • Review daily operating goals and standards to monitor progress.
  • Gain familiarity with the responsibilities of other positions and assist as necessary, acting as a backup during absences or vacations.
You May Be a Great Fit If...
  • You possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You have experience in facility and material handling.
  • You are capable of learning to operate powered material handling equipment, such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, turret trucks, and forklifts.
  • You are comfortable working at heights.
  • You can repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and are able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • You have a strong safety and attendance record, with no more than four attendance points.
  • You can read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • You can accurately count, perform simple math, and write legibly.
  • You demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
  • You possess strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You are willing to adjust hours and work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
  • You are prepared to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
