Position Overview

As a Facility Maintenance Specialist within an Intercollegiate Athletic Facility, you will be tasked with the upkeep, sanitation, and minor repairs of various areas including offices, hallways, meeting spaces, staircases, lobbies, display areas, restrooms, fitness rooms, locker areas, practice fields, elevators, drinking fountains, and the surrounding grounds of the facility.

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 6 AM - 3 PM.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in understanding and following both verbal and written instructions; effective communication skills with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork capabilities; ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Possession of a valid Indiana driver's license is required.
  • Compliance with Purdue University, Big Ten Conference, and NCAA rules, policies, and regulations is mandatory.

  • Purdue University does not provide sponsorship for employment authorization for this role.

  • FLSA Status: Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime).
