Role Overview: The Chef de Partie will oversee one of the key stations in our kitchen, which may include Saucier, Hot Appetizer, Rôtisseur, Garde-manger, Entremétier, Poissonnier, or Soupe. Mastery of their designated station is essential, alongside a comprehensive understanding of all kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Ensure production meets the standards set by the Executive Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace and equipment throughout the shift, adhering to health regulations.
- Uphold the high food quality standards established by the Executive Chef.
- Minimize waste and properly dispose of spoiled food items according to company protocols.
- Perform all essential duties during high-volume, fast-paced service periods.
- Adapt to service changes as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen.
- Advanced knife skills and culinary techniques.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and culinary standards.
- Capacity to produce a significant volume of high-quality work in a timely manner.
- Commitment to food safety practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Position Requirements:
- Availability for daytime and weekend shifts.
- Successful completion of a reference check.
