Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient schedules, including appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Process patient registration, including verifying demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect patient co-pays and prior balances, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Perform pre-visit planning, including running insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorizations as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required, including data entry, filing, and supply management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably as a medical secretary or administrative assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Athena.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
