Job Summary

The Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative I to provide exceptional patient care and support in our access center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing front-line contact as a patient liaison, handling check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, triage, prior authorizations, and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced access center environment
  • Handle check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and triage with accuracy and efficiency
  • Process prior authorizations and referrals in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with neighborhood administrative and physician support teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
