Eligibility Requirements:This role is exclusively available to LCCC students who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester and qualify for Federal Work Study. Students should consult with the LCCC Student Hub and Financial Aid to verify their eligibility.
Role Summary:The Student Assistant for the Entrepreneurship Lab is a part-time, non-benefited position that requires active enrollment at LCCC and eligibility for Federal Work Study. This role involves supporting the department in daily operations and routine tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring safe and effective usage.
- Assist fellow students in navigating the lab environment and utilizing equipment.
- Monitor safety protocols and report any safety issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Provide customer service by answering inquiries and assisting visitors.
- Support special projects and contribute to the overall operational functions of the department.

Compensation: $10.03 per hour, Grade 7 / Step 1
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Ability to work in a lab setting with potential exposure to chemicals.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment as an LCCC student with a minimum of 6 credits per semester.
- Preferred: One year of experience in an office environment using Microsoft Office software.
