Job Summary

Are you passionate about 3D technology, design, and fabrication? The Student Assistant position within the Concept Forge provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge equipment while supporting our community of learners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to students and community members utilizing 3D scanners, 3D printers, laser engravers, and other innovative tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and supplies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure environment for all users.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and preparing materials for projects.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere by interacting professionally with colleagues and patrons.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current enrollment as an LCCC student in at least 6 credit hours per semester (exceptions may be granted for summer terms with supervisor approval).
  • Eligibility for Federal Work Study.
  • One year of experience in an office setting, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with makerspace equipment or a strong interest in learning is highly desirable.
