Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, vision screening, and selected laboratory tests, as directed by physicians or nurses.
  • Assist physicians or nurses with clinical procedures, ensuring seamless care delivery and maximal coordination of efforts.
  • Coordinate with other members of the care team to ensure active patient participation in planning and care.
  • Prepare e-prescriptions for processing to pharmacies, as instructed by physicians per CareMount Medical policy.
  • Inspect, clean, and prepare instruments and equipment according to manufacturers' or CareMount Medical guidelines.
  • Process specimens for transport to laboratory, ensuring proper labeling and orders have been placed in NextGen.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with 1+ years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant or eligible for certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
