As a member of our Field Maintenance team, you will travel to various operational sites to conduct vital equipment servicing and maintenance tasks. Your duties will encompass:
  • Equipment Servicing, Repair, and Adjustment: Ensuring our machinery operates efficiently is vital for seamless operations.
  • Equipment Testing: Thorough testing is essential for safety and dependability.
In-Depth Responsibilities:
  • Strategically plan for extended travel to operational sites and execute maintenance responsibilities
  • Provide diverse levels of support and training to operational teams in preventative maintenance checks and services, including guidance on conducting basic and intermediate repairs
  • Demonstrate diagnostic skills (basic to advanced) for mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical issues and coordinate repair plans for the systems
  • Exhibit knowledge (basic to advanced) in performing and accurately documenting findings from technical inspections on various equipment
  • Engage in maintenance-related projects alongside the rig crew or third-party support
  • Develop and manage a list of spare and replacement parts for specific machinery
  • Complete various repairs identified during technical inspections
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving on assigned equipment and assets
  • Assist operations in implementing designated Maintenance/Policy measures
  • Possess knowledge and experience in repairing various types of drilling equipment and systems
Qualifications:
  • Ability to navigate operational sites safely, which may involve walking, climbing, standing, and other physical activities in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel to operational sites, which may require extended stays in remote locations
  • Flexibility to work a rotational schedule that may include day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as being on call
  • Capability to lift and carry 50 pounds independently on uneven surfaces
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl in operational areas
  • Frequent use of hand and power tools for a range of mechanical tasks, including heavy-duty equipment
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings and report ongoing activities to colleagues
  • Skill in identifying unusual sounds indicating equipment issues
  • Strong memory recall for information
  • Spatial awareness to navigate a dynamic work environment safely
  • Ability to remain alert and focused during extended work periods
  • Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Capacity to respond promptly to emergency situations
  • Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Strong interpersonal skills for productive collaboration with coworkers and third parties
  • Commitment to safety for oneself and others
  • Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to utilize maintenance software and manage work orders
  • Experience operating oilfield equipment and passing necessary certification exams
  • Completion of all required training and certification courses
  • Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including drug and alcohol tests
Minimum Qualifications:

General Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and eligibility to operate company vehicles
Assistant Field Maintenance Technician:
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical repairs, or active enrollment in a related technical program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of technical training or advanced education
  • Experience with control systems in automation and electronics
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and electronics control systems
  • Experience in diesel technology and power generation
Field Maintenance Technician Levels:
  • Field Maintenance Technician 1: Two (2) years of relevant work experience or one (1) year of troubleshooting experience with vocational training
  • Field Maintenance Technician 2: Three (3) years of relevant work experience or two (2) years of troubleshooting experience with advanced education
  • Field Maintenance Technician 3: Four (4) years of field maintenance experience with a focus on electrical control systems
Work Environment:

This role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, including precipitation, heat, cold, and high winds. The Technician will be exposed to typical conditions found in drilling operations. The work environment is heavy industrial, involving proximity to moving machinery and potentially hazardous materials.
