Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician - Equipment Specialist is a critical role at Wilks Brothers, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our heavy industrial equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy industrial equipment, including testing and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Travel and Site Visits: Travel to customer job sites to perform repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely completion of tasks and excellent customer service.
  • Process Optimization: Monitor and evaluate equipment performance, making adjustments as needed to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with colleagues, management, and customers to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training classes and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest equipment technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: 2+ years' experience with similar industrial equipment, with a strong preference for 2-5 years of prior field service experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the English language, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment, with prolonged periods of standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel overnight between facilities as necessary.
Working Conditions:
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
  • Physical Environment: Ability to work in a variety of climates, including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, and snow.
