POSITION SUMMARY

The BMS Field Technician is tasked with delivering technical services associated with the installation, diagnostics, testing, and upkeep of Burner Management Systems. This role emphasizes effective communication with team members and clients while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The responsibilities of the Field Technician encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel to various sites to perform service work and fulfill monthly maintenance obligations.
  • Conduct inspections, assessments, and troubleshooting of equipment to enhance quality control.
  • Offer technical assistance to relevant stakeholders (clients, manufacturers, distributors, etc.) regarding product installations, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Provide onsite training, installation, and support to necessary personnel.
  • Manage and oversee truck inventory.
  • Procure necessary parts and supplies through the designated procurement system.
  • Maintain accurate records, including inventories of parts, equipment, tools, work orders, and timesheets.
  • Exhibit a willingness to travel as required.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area and associated tools.
  • Adapt proactively to meet high standards in the work environment.
  • Prioritize and coordinate tasks to complete assignments both independently and collaboratively.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members and management.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize safety equipment consistently.
  • Pursue professional growth through ongoing training and education.
  • Present oneself in a clean, professional manner and wear the company uniform as required.
  • Communicate any questions or concerns to management.
  • Engage with the company's vision and strive to implement processes that align with its goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong customer support and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions accurately.
  • Proficient in moderate to advanced mathematical skills, including calculations and percentages.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Proficient in using computers and office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, climb, twist, push/pull, squat, crawl, kneel, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
  • Vision must be adequate for recording data and operating equipment.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to hear equipment sounds for diagnostic purposes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in the oilfield and familiarity with Burner Management Systems is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in the oil and gas sector is preferred.
  • One year of mechanical knowledge is preferred.
  • Safe Land certification is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
