Telephone Service Representative

Job Summary
The MedStar Health Telephone Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for callers, providing general information and assistance as needed. This role is part of the hospital's 24/7 telecommunications team and requires open availability to fill in as needed during the week and on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the hospital-wide phone directory, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies.
- Provide assistance during emergency situations, notifying internal and external authorities as necessary.
- Process and direct incoming and outgoing calls, utilizing the Intellidesk system and adhering to hospital standards.
- Test and document code blue and panic alarm systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 months switchboard and receptionist experience required.
- Excellent customer service skills, typing, and computer skills.
Compensation
$27.23 per hour
