Role Overview:

The Hotel Operations Maintenance Staff is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and customer service are maintained at all times. This includes the upkeep, functionality, and safety of guest accommodations, communal areas, and the overall facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests courteously and assist them as needed.
  • Oversee the general maintenance of all rooms and shared spaces, ensuring that all furnishings, appliances, and electrical devices are fully operational.
  • Ensure that all painting and flooring adhere to company standards.
  • Conduct repairs or replacements on HVAC systems, including individual air conditioning units, as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in outdoor areas such as parking lots, swimming pools, and landscaping.
  • Guarantee that both the interior and exterior of the hotel are kept in excellent condition.
  • Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furnishings, fixtures, and other hotel items.
  • Supervise the preventative maintenance program.
  • Report significant repair needs to management.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of meeting spaces.
  • Support other hotel departments as necessary.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure a safe environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and operate cash registers; basic office and clerical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management, organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a solid work ethic.
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • Occasional light lifting, not exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, employees may be exposed to outdoor elements throughout the seasons. There may also be exposure to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be high at times. Employees may encounter dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, and concentrated cleaning solutions.
