Role Overview:

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for upholding the highest standards of hospitality and customer service. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of guest accommodations, communal areas, and overall facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests in a courteous manner, providing assistance as needed.
  • Oversee the upkeep of all rooms and shared spaces, ensuring that all furnishings, appliances, and electrical devices are operational.
  • Maintain compliance with company standards regarding paint and flooring conditions.
  • Conduct repairs or replacements on HVAC systems, including individual air conditioning units, as necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel's exterior areas, including parking lots, swimming pools, and landscaping.
  • Guarantee that both the interior and exterior of the hotel are well-kept.
  • Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furnishings, fixtures, and other hotel items.
  • Supervise the preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Report significant repair needs to management.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of meeting spaces.
  • Support other hotel departments as required.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and amicably.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and practices.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and operate cash registers and perform basic office tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively and engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Occasional lifting of items not exceeding 50 lbs.
