Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Radiology Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Imaging Team. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. You will execute these tasks with care, compassion, and respect for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize radioactive isotopes to conduct organ and body imaging.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for patient administration as per physician directives, including dosage administration and documentation.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging studies using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect emitted radiation and generate organ images on photographic media.
  • Position patients appropriately and adjust immobilization devices as necessary.
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient information using computerized systems.
  • Assist with patient transportation when required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
  • AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to perform tasks that require frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting patients or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
