Job Summary and Qualifications
Our imaging teams consist of a dedicated and compassionate group of professionals.
We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Imaging Specialist to deliver magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, performing procedures with compassion and respect.
If you are passionate about caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.As an MRI Imaging Specialist under the supervision of a radiologist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Exhibiting a strong and comprehensive understanding of all MRI and related equipment.
- Obtaining high-quality MR images, ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
- Facilitating the MRI procedure by selecting appropriate technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and preparing and administering the necessary contrast material.
- Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients as required, ensuring modesty and safety while utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as indicated.
- Documenting all relevant clinical information prior to the exam, obtaining informed consent, and accurately completing all required fields within MEDITECH in a timely manner.
- Maintaining proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist(s).
- Checking the operation of the equipment, maintaining cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and ensuring the room is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Accepting on-call and call-back responsibilities as necessary to provide optimal patient care.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Department of Health (CRT).
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, basic computer, and clerical skills. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
