Job Summary and Qualifications

At HCA West Florida, we are devoted to providing a world-class experience for every patient. As part of our team, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of professionals who are genuinely making a difference in the health and lives of the people in West Florida. We are in search of an Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures Technologist. In this role, you will assist with all procedures in the interventional radiology lab, including scrubbing, circulating, recording, and monitoring patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating patients' responses to the Plan of Care, communicating with healthcare team members, and implementing necessary adjustments to care.
  • Documenting relevant data in patient records to accurately reflect the care received.
  • Setting up and successfully recording right and left heart pressures, recognizing pressures by waveform, and analyzing and documenting values in patient charts.
  • Participating in rounding and proactively addressing patient needs to enhance outcomes and positively influence the overall patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology Technology and/or ARRT IR certification and/or RCIS with IR experience.
  • State of Florida professional license or certification and ARRT Interventional Radiology credential.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
  • New hires or transfers into a higher skill level must obtain certification within 6 months. Required to work under ACLS credentialed IR tech until training certificate is obtained.
  • Two years of experience in a licensed field and one year of Interventional Radiology experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directions.
