This role will play a crucial part in Fleet Management by evaluating and addressing financial statement inquiries from designated operational units.

The Accountant will be responsible for generating reports through the development of system queries and creating necessary process documentation. Additionally, this position will manage general ledger accounts, analyze reports, resolve discrepancies, and prepare end-of-month entries.

Compensation
This position offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 - $63,000 annually, commensurate with relevant experience and skill level.

Work Schedule
The Accountant role is a full-time, hybrid position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST. This position requires two days a week in-office attendance.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements for selected Fleet Management groups
  • Compilation of bank reconciliations and account schedules
  • Preparation of journal entries, expense accruals, and allocations
  • Participation in a timely and accurate month-end closing process
  • Analysis of income statement fluctuations for assigned branches
  • Contribution of process improvement and cost-saving suggestions
  • Support for budgeting and forecasting
  • Management of travel and expense reports, including coding and account classification
  • Preparation of financial schedules for selected Fleet Management groups
  • Assistance with accounting and technical inquiries for all Fleet Management groups
  • Completion of departmental reports and analyses
  • Engagement in special projects as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must reside in the Metro St. Louis area or surrounding counties
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred
  • A minimum of one year of accounting experience is preferred
  • Willingness to accept a salary within the range of $53,000 - $63,000 based on experience
  • Ability to meet all work-from-home technical requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
