Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

At New York City Economic Development Corporation, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic support and guidance to internal client groups in the areas of employee relations and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build effective partnerships with management and staff to foster a high-performing and engaged culture.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with leadership to understand business objectives and provide strategic support.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and ensuring fair, timely resolutions.
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
  • Lead core HR processes across employee lifecycles, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
  • Oversee the management, tracking, and updating of HR policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on policy management and compliance.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects from end to end.
