- Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments with providers.
- Register new patients and address any financial issues.
- Provide check-in process for patients, including verifying and updating demographic and insurance information.
- Collect co-pays and payments as needed.
- Maintain provider schedules and keep a neat and orderly work area.
- Verify and update demographic information and schedule tests, labs, etc. for patients.
- Maintain relevant office supplies and balance payment drawer at end of day.
- Attend monthly huddles and perform related work as required.
- Travel to satellite locations to cover departmental needs.
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting.
- Hearing within or correctable to normal range, vision correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity for office equipment operation.
Work is performed in a medical office setting with frequent patient contact and exposure to communicable illnesses. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
