Job Summary

Christie Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative to join our Float department. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments with providers.
  • Register new patients and address any financial issues.
  • Provide check-in process for patients, including verifying and updating demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-pays and payments as needed.
  • Maintain provider schedules and keep a neat and orderly work area.
  • Verify and update demographic information and schedule tests, labs, etc. for patients.
  • Maintain relevant office supplies and balance payment drawer at end of day.
  • Attend monthly huddles and perform related work as required.
  • Travel to satellite locations to cover departmental needs.
Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting.
  • Hearing within or correctable to normal range, vision correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity for office equipment operation.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a medical office setting with frequent patient contact and exposure to communicable illnesses. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
