Groundwork Support Technician Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Groundwork Support Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Groundwork Support Technician, you will provide critical support to our construction team by performing manual labor tasks, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining a safe working environment.

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that involves standard business hours with flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and nights as needed. You will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will have the opportunity to work on various construction projects throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual labor tasks at underground utility construction sites, including digging trenches, setting braces, and erecting scaffolding.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, such as shovels, concrete mixers, and excavators.
  • Assist other skilled workers at the site and company yard.
  • Maintain a clean job site by picking up and delivering tools and equipment and securing the area each day.
  • Load and unload trucks and haul materials.
  • Educate yourself on safety protocols and procedures and report any concerns or hazards to your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in construction or a related field (preferred).
