Position: Culinary Expediter
Overview: The Culinary Expediter is essential in guaranteeing that all food items leaving the kitchen are presented with excellence and adhere to quality standards. Below are the key aspects of this role:
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and synchronize all food items being dispatched from the kitchen
- Ensure exceptional standards of food presentation and quality
Detailed Duties:
- Receive and process all incoming food orders
- Monitor ticket times to ensure compliance with established standards
- Facilitate communication between kitchen and service personnel
- Execute all plate presentations according to specified guidelines
- Conduct a final quality assessment of food for presentation, temperature, garnishing, and timing
- Coordinate food distribution with service runners
- Establish and maintain an orderly expeditor station throughout the shift
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be able to move around freely during the entire shift
- Basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and verbal communication are necessary
- Ability to uphold cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment
- Capable of responding effectively in urgent situations
- Physical demands include prolonged standing, quick mobility, clear communication, good balance, bending, kneeling, and lifting items up to 25 pounds
