AOG Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

The AOG Maintenance Technician Lead collaborates closely with the Site Manager to ensure that both AOG and scheduled aircraft receive optimal support at the designated location and in the field. This role entails executing all assigned maintenance projects while adhering to the highest quality standards. It is essential to foster a positive and productive relationship with colleagues, vendors, and clients throughout these activities. The position requires regular travel, including overnight stays, and demands flexibility for on-call duties, which may include nights and weekends. Compensation is hourly with overtime pay negotiable based on experience.
Reporting StructureThe AOG Maintenance Technician - KSNA reports directly to the Site Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesEssential duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily reporting to the Site Manager.
- Completing tasks in accordance with the procedures outlined in the company's Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
- Coordinating with the Site Manager to ensure safe and efficient repairs and return to service of AOG and scheduled aircraft.
- Adhering to all relevant FARs, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Procedures.
- Utilizing appropriate technical data during maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in shop premises, AOG vehicles, and work areas.
- Complying with airport, TSA, and DOT regulations for operating a motor vehicle.
- Ensuring all maintenance or alteration processes are documented as required by the operator and applicable FARs.
- Submitting all necessary work orders, reports, receipts, time cards, and other company forms to the Site Manager promptly and in an organized manner.
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with managers, peers, and other stakeholders.
- Actively participating in the company's Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) program to ensure safety and quality in all assigned duties.
- Being available for unscheduled on-call maintenance events 24/7, including holidays, as part of a rotating schedule.
- Performing unscheduled AOG maintenance in the field at remote locations, requiring travel and overnight lodging.
- Accurately documenting all maintenance performed in the maintenance records database.
Required:
- A strong passion for aviation.
- A minimum of five years of AOG experience; experience in a Part 145 Repair Station is a plus.
- Experience in troubleshooting, utilizing specialized tools, and working with aircraft maintenance manuals and technical reports.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and logistical problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
- Availability for on-call and after-hours support.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid A&P License.
- A valid Driver's License.
- A valid Passport.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
- Possession of basic hand tools and toolbox.
- Availability for on-call duties.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Citation CE-560, XL, XLS, CE-680, and CE-750.
- Experience with Bombardier Global, Challenger 300 and 600-Series.
- Experience with Gulfstream GIV, G450, GV, G550, and G650.
- Experience with Dassault DA2000 and DA900.
- Experience with Embraer EMB 100/500 and Legacy 135.
Other Information:
This position is classified as a DOT Safety Sensitive role, requiring participation in a random drug testing program.
CompensationHourly rate: $50.00/hour | Dependent on Experience
