Job Overview

The AOG Maintenance Technician Lead collaborates closely with the SNA Site Manager to guarantee that both AOG and scheduled aircraft receive comprehensive support at Santa Ana (KSNA) and in various field locations. This role is accountable for executing all assigned maintenance projects while adhering to the highest quality standards. Building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with ACI Jet's staff, vendors, and clients is essential. This position requires regular travel, including overnight stays, and demands flexible availability for on-call duties, encompassing nights and weekends. Compensation is hourly with overtime pay negotiable based on experience.

Reporting Structure

The AOG Maintenance Technician - KSNA reports directly to the SNA Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Report daily to the SNA Site Manager.
  • Execute tasks in line with the procedures outlined in ACI Jet's Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
  • Coordinate with the SNA Site Manager to ensure safe and efficient repairs and return to service of AOG and scheduled aircraft.
  • Adhere to all FARs, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate technical data during maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in shop premises, AOG vehicles, and work areas.
  • Comply with airport, TSA, and DOT regulations for operating a motor vehicle.
  • Ensure all maintenance or alteration processes are thoroughly completed and documented as required.
  • Timely submission of all necessary work orders, reports, receipts, time cards, and other company documentation to the SNA Site Manager.
  • Foster productive relationships with ACI Jet managers, peers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in ACI Jet's SQMS program to ensure safety and quality in all duties.
  • Be available for unscheduled on-call maintenance events 24/7, including holidays.
  • Perform unscheduled AOG maintenance in remote locations, requiring travel and overnight lodging.
  • Accurately document all maintenance performed in the Corridor maintenance records database.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A strong passion for aviation.
  • A minimum of five years of AOG experience; Part 145 Repair Station experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, utilizing specialized tools, and working with aircraft maintenance manuals and technical reports.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and logistical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Availability for on-call and after-hours support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid A&P License.
  • Valid Driver's License and Passport.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Ownership of basic hand tools and toolbox.
  • Availability for on-call duties.
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Additional Information

This position is classified as a DOT Safety Sensitive role, necessitating participation in a random drug testing program.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $50.00/hour | Based on Experience
