About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Sensing and Compute team at Amazon. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning technologies that deliver state-of-the-art vision capabilities across multiple robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Architect and Implement Vision Systems: Design and develop machine learning models for vision systems on robotic platforms, ensuring scalability, robustness, and high performance.
  2. Optimize and Deploy ML Models: Optimize, deploy, and support at scale ML models on the edge, influencing the team's strategy and contributing to the long-term vision and roadmap.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with stakeholders across science and operations teams to iterate on design and implementation, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of vision sensing technologies.
  4. Maintain High Standards: Participate in reviews, design for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and create mechanisms for continuous improvement, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  5. Prototype and Test Concepts: Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment, ensuring the development of innovative and effective vision sensing solutions.
  6. Mentor and Lead Team Members: Mentor other engineer team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team and the delivery of high-quality results.
