Job Summary

PSEG operates under a Flexible Work Model, offering flexible work arrangements when job requirements allow. As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will provide technical support for the Salem Power Uprate Project. Your expertise will be instrumental in determining solutions and managing resources to prepare design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Qualify for and fulfill the Lead Responsible Engineer role for power uprate plant modifications, ensuring design quality from start to finish.
  • Establish modification scope, system performance requirements, and testing requirements.
  • Perform Owners Acceptance Reviews for design analysis, modification packages, procurement, and specifications in accordance with plant procedures.
  • Manage technical supplier teams, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality adherence.
  • Schedule and coordinate Engineering and station department resources to deliver and install required design change packages.
  • Interface with Project Manager to ensure Engineering deliverables meet project goals.
  • Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation, and supporting analysis.
  • Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Electrical Design Engineering Manager.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
  • 13 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design engineering of power distribution systems, data centers, power systems, breakers, relays, 6.9KV and below.
  • Experience with cable sizing using Genesis.
  • Experience using ETAP.
  • Availability for shift work during installation.
  • Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
