Lead Electrical Design Engineer

PSEG is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Design Engineer to provide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the Salem Power Uprate Project. The successful candidate will perform the duties as a Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) for modifications needed to support the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2.
Key Responsibilities- Qualify for and fulfill the LRE role for the power uprate plant modifications and be accountable for the design "cradle to grave".
- Establish modification scope, system performance requirements, and all testing requirements.
- Perform Owners Acceptance Reviews for design analysis, modification packages, procurement, and specifications in accordance with plant procedures.
- Manage technical supplier teams with respect cost, schedule, and quality.
- Schedule and coordinate Engineering and station department resources to deliver and install required design change packages.
- Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification.
- Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.
- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.
- Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization
- BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree with 5 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Availability for shift work during installation.
- Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR).
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification.
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
