We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Systems Commissioning Engineer to join our team at PSEG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful commissioning of mechanical systems in our nuclear power plants.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the required scope of work and explore alternative solutions for modifications.
- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
- Lead the system engineering effort for modifications.
- Ensure adequate systems integration and serve as a subject matter expert for plant systems.
- Support changes to the Preventive Maintenance and Surveillance Program.
- Identify critical spare parts.
- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing.
- Interface with the Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification.
- Comply with regulatory requirements, including License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.
- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Electrical Design Engineering Manager.
- Participate in the Emergency Response Organization.
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related Engineering or related technical degree with 5 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in controls system engineering.
- Availability for shift work during installation.
- Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR).
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification.
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
