Job Summary:
The San Diego LGBT Community Center is seeking a highly motivated Bilingual Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our LGBTQ Safe STAY Program, you will provide mentorship, stabilization support, and crisis intervention for transitional-age youth (18-24 years old) in San Diego County. This is a full-time, regular non-exempt position with a competitive hourly rate of $20.50-$21.50, commensurate with experience. About the Role:
Under the direction of the Youth Housing Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Providing ongoing support to clients and accompanying them to appointments as needed;
• Guiding clients in accessing external services that support their health and well-being;
• Maintaining accurate documentation of client goals and needs, case management plans, and service entries into internal data systems;
• Entering program data and outcomes into the region's Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to adhere to grant and contract compliance;

Required Qualifications:
• Education and/or experience working with people experiencing homelessness, foster care, and juvenile dependency systems;
• Fluency in English and Spanish;
• Comfortable working in PC/Windows-based environments;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and work effectively with diverse populations;
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance;

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience working with youth who have experienced housing instability;
• Fluency in a language other than English and Spanish;
• Experience managing crises and implementing crisis interventions;
