We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team at the Mental Health Association of San Francisco (MHASF). In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges and helping them build a path towards recovery.

About MHASF:

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide wellness-focused Peer Support to Spanish-speaking individuals in San Francisco.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  3. Model wellness practices, including maintaining professional boundaries and promoting self-care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a peer counselor, specialist, or similar role, preferably within a nonprofit setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Strong understanding of mental health challenges, diagnoses, and treatment options.
  • Familiarity with housing resources and their impact on overall well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Compensation: $31.25 per hour (includes bilingual pay differential).
