About the Job
The Mental Health Association of San Francisco is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Peer Support Specialist - SF Courts Navigator position. As part of our team, you will provide vital support services to individuals with mental health challenges in the San Francisco community.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide 1:1 peer-to-peer support to participants, focusing on their wellness and stability goals.
  2. Assist participants in accessing community resources and services tailored to their specific needs.
  3. Collaborate with service providers, such as lawyers, judges, and healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless support for program participants.

Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Vietnamese; proficiency in verbal communication, reading, and writing.
  • Personal lived experience with mental health challenges and a willingness to disclose to participants and during counselor trainings.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a peer counselor, peer specialist, or similar (either paid or volunteer) within a nonprofit setting.
