Are you eager to embark on a journey in the culinary field within the casino sector? We are currently seeking a Culinary Preparation Specialist to join our team at Saracen Casino Resort. In this role, you will uphold the exceptional standards of food quality and customer service in accordance with our established policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality and guest service are consistently met.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all back-of-house areas.
  • Execute tasks such as chopping ingredients, properly storing food items, and operating kitchen equipment.
  • Follow preparation lists accurately.
  • Keep kitchen equipment in pristine condition.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members while adhering to instructions.
  • Comply with attendance policies and company regulations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to guests.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Assist with additional projects as required.
  • Be adaptable as job duties and expectations may evolve. Work hours will vary based on a 24-hour operational schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma is mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Prior experience in a kitchen setting is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Possess a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to engage positively with both customers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be physically agile and capable of navigating all areas of the casino.
  • Ability to tolerate smoke, noise, bright lights, and dust.
  • Capacity to perform well in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in operating kitchen equipment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Maintain stamina and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
