About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Services Employment Specialist II to join our team at MaineHealth. As a Job Coach/ESII, you will play a vital role in helping working youth and adults with disabilities achieve their full potential in Cumberland and York County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to individuals at their workplaces or off-site, ensuring they excel in their roles.
  • Develop and implement effective training plans to help individuals master specific job tasks, track their progress, and set goals to enhance their independence.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, their families, and referral agencies to design and implement rehabilitation plans that meet their unique needs.
  • Build and nurture natural support systems for individuals in their workplaces, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of a two-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required.
  • Experience: Six months of previous job coaching experience and/or experience working with people with disabilities in a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide training and guidance to individuals with disabilities and evaluate their performance.
