Position Overview:

As a key player in a nationally recognized crisis system, this role offers a unique opportunity for a Crisis Specialist to contribute to impactful change. The position entails providing vital crisis services, including responding to crisis calls, executing crisis interventions for ongoing clients, managing cases, and coordinating care while collaborating with first responders. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced crisis environment.

Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (Evening shifts available).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct crisis services in various settings, including homes, schools, and community locations. Responsibilities encompass crisis intervention, de-escalation, transportation, community stabilization, client support, parenting training, and behavior management assistance.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and maintain comprehensive client records in line with agency policies.
  • Provide holistic services to clients and facilitate communication with other agency departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to the agency's service delivery standards and assist with quality management as necessary.
  • Conduct all duties safely and support team members, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.
  • Oversee the operational status of department vehicles and report any incidents of damage or theft.
  • Manage potentially volatile situations with professionalism and composure.
Additional Duties:
  • This position includes a specific pay differential due to the high-risk nature of the role.
  • Flexibility in shift location may be required to meet departmental needs.
  • Utilize downtime for special projects benefiting the Crisis department or other agency sectors.
  • Participate in all mandatory meetings and training sessions, even if they occur outside regular hours.
  • Be prepared to extend work hours as needed to address crisis situations or complete necessary documentation.
  • Assist in mentoring new staff or interns regarding intervention techniques and documentation processes.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field, along with one year of behavioral health experience or qualifications meeting BHT level requirements.
  • Preferred experience in crisis services, outpatient services, or community outreach, especially in urgent psychiatric settings.
  • Ability to remain composed in stressful situations and work effectively within a team.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, with a bilingual pay differential available.
  • A valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Fingerprint clearance card required or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
