Position Overview:

As a key player in a nationally recognized crisis response system, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a Crisis Specialist to contribute to meaningful change within our community. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering crisis services, which encompass a variety of duties including responding to crisis calls, conducting interventions for ongoing clients, managing cases, and coordinating care with first responders. This position demands a professional adept at thriving in a fast-paced crisis environment.

Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (Evening shifts available).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct crisis services in various settings including homes, schools, and community locations. Services may include crisis intervention, de-escalation, transportation, and community stabilization support.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery, maintaining accurate client records in compliance with agency policies.
  • Provide comprehensive support to clients and facilitate communication across different departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to the agency's standards for service delivery and assist with quality management as required.
  • Perform all duties safely and collaboratively, supporting team members and fostering a cohesive work environment.
  • Oversee the daily operation of department vehicles, reporting any incidents of damage or theft promptly.
  • Work professionally in potentially volatile situations, maintaining composure and effective response to crises.
Additional Duties:
  • This position includes a specific pay differential due to the unique responsibilities and high-risk nature of the role.
  • Flexibility in shift location may be required to meet departmental needs.
  • Utilize downtime for special projects that benefit the Crisis department or other agency areas.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions, which may occur outside of regular hours.
  • May need to extend work hours without prior notice if crisis situations demand it.
  • Provide guidance to new staff or interns regarding intervention techniques and documentation processes.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field, along with one year of behavioral health experience or qualifications to meet BHT level requirements.
  • Preferred experience in crisis services, outpatient services, or community outreach, particularly in urgent psychiatric settings.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively within a team.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, with additional pay for bilingual skills.
  • A valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 39 months is required.
  • Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one is necessary.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
