Construction Project Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all assigned personnel and subcontractors, enforcing adherence to safety protocols and policies, with the authority to halt operations for safety infractions.
  • Oversee daily on-site management of the labor workforce.
  • Conduct inspections of contractor or subcontractor activities to verify compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to review and authorize Trade Contractor Payment Applications.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients and design professionals.
  • Develop and maintain an effective site logistics strategy in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections to uphold project standards.
  • Coordinate testing and inspection processes on-site.
  • Monitor project expenditures, including labor and materials.
  • Commit to promoting an Injury-Free Environment through personal conduct and by guiding others.
  • Manage project timelines, including the creation of detailed short-term schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports detailing site activities.
  • Participate in project meetings, including those with subcontractors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of project drawings, specifications, and contractual terms.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Pump Station or Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Reliability and dependability in all aspects of work.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Estimating experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with grading, drainage, paving, bridge construction, and other relevant construction disciplines.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Post-secondary education or vocational training is preferred.
  • OSHA certification is required.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with E-Builder, eCMS, RMS, Procore, Prolog, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Revit is preferred.
