We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Centerpoint Construction Corp, a leading shell construction firm in Florida. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for our residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for shell construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with contractors to understand project scope and requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Review and assess cost estimates submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and present Excel cost reports and proposals.
- Participate in project bid meetings and site visits.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the structural phases of construction (concrete, CMU, structural steel, deck systems, rough carpentry).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in on-screen estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and under deadline pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
