Construction Project Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all personnel and subcontractors on-site, enforcing compliance with safety protocols and policies.
  • Oversee daily on-site operations and manage the field workforce effectively.
  • Conduct inspections of contractor and subcontractor activities to verify adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Review and authorize payment applications from trade contractors in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients, including owners and architects.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive site logistics plan in conjunction with project management.
  • Perform quality control inspections to maintain high standards of work.
  • Coordinate testing and inspection processes on-site.
  • Monitor project costs, including labor and materials, to ensure budget compliance.
  • Commit to creating an Injury-Free Environment through proactive leadership and mentoring.
  • Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and activities.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports detailing site activities and progress.
  • Participate in project meetings, including those with subcontractors, to ensure alignment and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Understanding of project drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills.
  • Over 15 years of experience in Pump Station or Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and teamwork skills.
  • Estimating experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with various construction disciplines including grading, drainage, paving, and mechanical systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
  • Effective delegation of tasks.
  • Preferred educational background includes Junior College or Vocational training.
  • OSHA and First Aid/CPR certifications are required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with project management software such as E-Builder, eCMS, RMS, Procore, Prolog, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Revit is a plus.
