Aircraft Ramp Service Specialist

Position Summary: Provide exceptional assistance to clients ensuring their requirements are fulfilled during the boarding and disembarking of aircraft. A strong emphasis on customer service for both flight crews and passengers of private and business aircraft is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in all daily operations related to ramp activities, including:
- Welcome and assist passengers and flight crews
- Handle the loading and unloading of customer luggage and baggage
- Facilitate transportation arrangements
- Deliver refreshments, documents, and other necessary items to aircraft
- Provide recommendations for local accommodations, dining, attractions, and events
- Understand the pricing structure for various services offered
- Encourage fuel sales and uplift promotions
- Ensure flight crew check-in at the customer service desk and that all fees are settled prior to aircraft departure
Collaborate with other departments as necessary, including:
- Support front desk staff
- Assist lobby concierge
Additional Duties:
Perform other tasks as assigned or specified by the location.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs from floor to waist level or higher on a regular basis if needed; able to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting for extended periods. Must possess adequate vision and ability to safely execute the essential functions of the role; must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility clothing when necessary. This position involves working in an airport environment with both indoor and outdoor responsibilities. Must be able to endure extreme outdoor weather conditions and temperature variations.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED; hold a valid driver's license; successfully pass pre-employment and random drug screenings; and be able to pass a comprehensive 10-year background check. Must be customer-oriented, highly motivated with a positive demeanor, adhere to company policies, and work effectively under time constraints. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required; must be able to communicate effectively (read, write, speak) in English. Previous experience in Fixed Base Operations (FBO) is advantageous.
