Offset Press Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Offset Press Operator to join our team at Gateway Communications, Inc. in Portland, OR. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating offset printing presses, ensuring high-quality prints, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Examine work orders to determine print quantities, stock specifications, colors, and special printing requirements.
- Inspect plates, ink, and paper for accuracy and defects, taking corrective action as needed.
- Make ready and operate Akiyama 6-color 28" press, performing 2-4 make-readies per day.
- Monitor print quality and make adjustments as necessary to ensure consistent results.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press and work area.
- Proven knowledge of printing press mechanics and capabilities, preferably with sheet-fed 4-6 unit presses.
- Experience with Akiyama Bestech presses is a significant advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot challenges and ensure consistent quality throughout each press run.
