Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch client service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list of potential clients, participating in networking, outside sales efforts, and cold calling as needed.
  • Open and process all types of accounts, products, and services for clients, consulting with them on their specific needs.
  • Handle general client inquiries, reconcile client statements, and work towards the proper maintenance of account files.
  • Service all client account needs, including teller work as needed, accepting deposits, cashing checks, processing withdrawals, and facilitating transactions.
  • Provide access to safe deposit boxes, complete necessary documents, and receive and record payments for safe deposit box rent.
  • Work to achieve team goals or individual goals, including deposits, loans, cross-selling, and referrals to other units of the bank.
  • Perform all paying, receiving, and collection functions within the banking center with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash handling, operational, security, BSA/AML, and all other policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with Lending staff or within own scope of authority, interview prospective loan applicants, collect documents, and communicate with clients as needed.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of teller experience.
  • Strong sales experience.
  • Prior knowledge of bank procedures and policies, as well as a working knowledge of online computer systems or teller terminals.
  • Proven abilities in needs-based sales and high-level client servicing skills.
  • Excellent client service and cash handling experience.
  • Ability to prepare or interpret detailed written materials and/or perform detailed mathematical functions accurately.
  • Able to accurately handle complex transactions efficiently.
  • Security conscious, accurate, and attentive to detail.
  • Understanding of compliance with Federal and State laws governing teller areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals and maintain a high level of client service.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
