Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Completions Engineer to join our team at oilandgas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing completion strategies for conventional wells, with a focus on offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and prepare detailed procedures for completion operations, including cost estimates and documentation.
  • Work with service providers and offshore field supervisors to execute completion activities.
  • Develop and implement completion designs and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with subsurface, production, and drilling teams to develop stimulation programs and mitigate downhole issues.
  • Supervise operational execution of completion activities, including coiled tubing N2 jetting and well servicing.
  • Identify and mitigate well production risks associated with downhole scale formation or completion/formation deterioration.
  • Support and provide oversight supervision during the operational execution of completion activities.
  • Perform casing and tubing design, analysis, and integrity models to ensure isolation and integrity during stimulation and production operations.
  • Identify completion equipment needs and participate in equipment and vendor selection.
  • Generate well/project specific AFEs and track variances to actual performance.
  • Interface and collaborate regularly with global supply chain teams, drilling/production/reservoir engineers, geoscientists, data scientists, and HES personnel.
  • Perform monthly accounting responsibilities, including cost tracking, equipment inventory control, accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations for management reviews, peer reviews, and technical committee meetings.
Requirements
  • 7-12 years of experience in conventional completion engineering/well servicing, with a minimum of 3 years with an Operator.
  • Offshore operations experience preferred.
  • Solid technical background in casing & tubing designs, completion equipment, cased hole logging/diagnostics, well servicing with wireline and coiled tubing.
  • Awareness of completion/well servicing workflow processes and software (SAP, WellCat, WellView, Nodal Analysis, etc.).
  • Software experience with Cerberus or similar downhole/conveyance modeling software.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Access).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at one time.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong drive to improve results and possess excellent teamwork/collaboration, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal communication) is a plus.
