As a Business Development Manager within the Industrial Solutions division, your primary responsibility will be the direct sales of Ovivo's innovative technology portfolio to the industrial water and wastewater sector.

This role offers the flexibility of remote work within the USA.

Anticipated domestic travel ranges from 20-40%, with a requirement for international travel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales strategies within the industrial water sector, particularly focusing on the USA market, utilizing your industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team including tendering, application engineering, process management, and other stakeholders to achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Drive direct sales initiatives aimed at end users, leveraging your insights and established customer relationships.
  • Represent the company at major industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to boost brand awareness and generate business prospects.
  • Proactively seek and nurture new leads to broaden the sales pipeline and take advantage of emerging market opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business avenues within the water sector, aligning your strategies with the company's objectives and market needs.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to improve the visibility and recognition of the Ovivo brand through targeted campaigns and initiatives.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, stakeholders, and end users to promote long-term partnerships and drive business expansion.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual sales strategies, budgets, and forecasts, offering strategic insights and market intelligence.
  • Lead the tendering process, including proposal writing and the development of comprehensive budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company capabilities.
  • Assist in negotiations regarding terms and conditions for final contracts.

Are You the Right Fit?

  • A degree is required, preferably in one of the engineering disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of relevant sales experience in the water and wastewater sector is essential.
  • Experience in industrial water/wastewater with direct engagement with end-user clients is necessary.
  • Preferred experience includes sales of complete flow sheets, biological treatment systems, and membrane systems on projects exceeding $1M USD.
  • Experience in the Food and Beverage, Chemical, and Pulp & Paper industries is advantageous.
