Sales Representative

Fastenal is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
About the Role:This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sales and customer service. You will work closely with our sales team to develop and implement sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and meet sales targets.
Responsibilities:- Support business-to-business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
- Provide value to customers through a consultative sales approach
- Develop new and grow existing relationships from leads, referrals, and prospecting
- Coordinate resources to respond to customer service needs
- Perform local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a current full valid driver's license
- Possess or be working towards a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, or related field of study
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Exhibit strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
- Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 pounds and may weigh up to 75 pounds
- Pass the required drug screen
- Pass a background check
