Job Summary

Work/Life Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Calibration Specialist to provide onsite Calibration and Certification Services, Repair Services, and Installation/Qualification/Operational Qualification/Performance Qualification (I.Q.O.Q.P.Q.) for various laboratory instruments and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibration and Certification Services: Perform routine and scheduled calibrations of laboratory instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, F.D.A., G.M.P.).
  • Repair Services: Diagnose and repair laboratory equipment, ensuring issues are resolved quickly to minimize customer downtime.
  • I.Q.O.Q.P.Q. Services: Execute installation, qualification (I.Q.), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (P.Q.) processes for laboratory instruments, ensuring equipment meets all required specifications and standards.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients, explaining technical issues, and offering guidance on equipment care and maintenance.
  • Documentation: Complete detailed service reports, calibration certificates, and compliance documentation following company and regulatory requirements.
  • Training: Provide onsite training for end users on the proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements while performing services.
  • Travel: Travel extensively (80% or more of the time) to customer sites, sometimes with short notice, to perform calibration, certification, and repair services.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in field service, preferably with laboratory or industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating laboratory instruments.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, F.D.A., and G.M.P. regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move equipment 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
